Join Celeste Malvar-Stewart and the MAC for Farm to Fashion - a hands on art experience at Bluebird Hills farm in Springfield, Ohio. 

Malvar-Stewart is a local fibre artist whose work emphasizes the importance of sustainability in a world of fast fashion. At Farm to Fashion you will join Celeste at Bluebird Hills Farm, where she sources fibers from the animals directly on site. The workshop includes breakfast at the McConnell Arts Center, lunch at Bluebird Hills Farm, a tour of the farm, and a felting workshop led by Malvar-Stewart.

Itinerary

9:00 AM - Group meets at the McConnell Arts Center

• Breakfast and coffee provided
• Meet and Greet with Celeste Malvar-Stewart

10:00 AM - Depart for Bluebird Hills Farm

• Carpooling available and encouraged

11:00 AM - Arrive at Bluebird Hills Farm

• Brunch made by hosting Shepherdess, Laurel

12:00 PM - Meet and Greet with the Animals and Workshop with Celeste

• Participants will be introduced to the various Ohio sheep and alpaca whose fibre they will use to create their very own hand-felted scarf

3:00 PM - Conclusion of Event

• Guests are welcome to explore the farm and adjacent woods
• Carpooling back to the McConnell Arts Center available
